Soma Yoga is a type of yoga designed to reconnect your brain to muscles that may be shut off and causing imbalances thus causing you pain. Through the somatic movements you can re-educate and bring more awareness to your body to reduce pain, prevent injury, and move well.Soma Yoga is for all levels as you will be moving within what feels most comfortable for your individual body and avoiding pushing into compensation mode. Modifications are often used from person to person as all our bodies are so different. Soma Yoga consists of four parts, breath work, Somatic movements (small concentrated movements), classic Asana poses (“regular” yoga poses modified for your body), and Shavasana (relaxation)
