Your Team at L’amour Massage

Grace

Grace is the owner of L’amour Massage & Wellness and spent 10 years practicing massage therapy. Alongside that, she became trained in Somatic Yoga in 2019 and found it brought even greater healing to her clients by addressing the root causes of chronic pain. She’s passionate about helping people find lasting solutions to become pain-free, and she has worked with everyone from those experiencing everyday discomfort to professional athletes—including members of the Vikings and Packers.

Since becoming a mom in 2024, Grace no longer sees clients one-on-one in person. Instead, she has poured her knowledge into creating online courses that combine Somatic Yoga movements and self-massage techniques, empowering clients to become pain-free from the comfort of their own home.

She currently offers a pregnancy course that supports women through each trimester, with more courses coming soon. You can find them at www.sustainable-bodies.com.

Expert Level Therapists

Jennifer – Expert LMT

Jennifer is a licensed Massage Therapist who graduated from CenterPoint Massage & Shiatsu Therapy School & Clinic in the Spring of 2020. Upon learning that eastern forms of bodywork address body disturbances both on a root (internal/organ) and a branch (physical/skeletomuscular) level, she was able to find a holistic practice that echoed her beliefs. Unlike most of her classmates, Jennifer elected to keep her school training focused exclusively on the eastern therapies of shiatsu and traditional Chinese medicine.

One of Jennifer’s greatest pleasures in sharing Shiatsu with her client is helping them understand the bigger picture of what is happening with their bodies. Those moments when they learn that some of the more bizarre “ticks “ they’ve gotten used to dealing with are actually part of a larger pattern of disharmony. She also loving sharing diet and supplemental ideas to empower her clients to continue working on moving their bodies away from chronic patterns of disharmony and more in line with their natural homeostasis.

She has been doing what she calls “Medically Oriented Massage” in Woodbury-area med-surg offices since 1999, working in conjunction with physical therapists, nurses, and doctors. Most new clients are referred to her by a care professional.

“Medically Oriented Massage” is goal-oriented and based primarily on manual therapies developed by Dr Jean-Pierre Barral, Dr John Upledger, and Dr Kerry D’Ambrogio. Their philosophies all include 1. Know your anatomy. 2. Use the minimum amount of pressure to elicit the desired change. 3. Be specific.

In addition, Gigi has a deep understanding and curiosity of medical and surgical conditions, and is experienced working around implanted devices, prosthetics/hardware, and other issues requiring caution. She mostly works on chronic pain/injury, pre-/post-surgical issues, and tends to see new clients 3-4 times (spaced 1-2 weeks apart). Your first session includes 15 minutes of assessments. You will know within 48 hours of your first session if “Medically Oriented Massage” is the right fit for you.
